Operating within the regulatory guidelines of NAMFISA and the Financial Intelligence Centre, RFS Financial Advisors ensures adherence to applicable laws and regulations. Our services encompass retirement planning, investment guidance, and the distribution of long-term insurance products from leading insurers.

In accordance with the Financial Intelligence Amendment Act (Act No. 6 of 2023), an accountable institution (“AI”) - of which RFS Financial Advisors (Pty) Ltd (“RFS FA”) is one - is required to develop, adopt, and implement a risk-based Customer Acceptance Policy, Internal Rules, programs, policies, procedures, and controls to effectively manage and mitigate the risk of money laundering (“ML”) and terrorism financing (“TF”) or related activities.

RFS FA has developed and implemented an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Framework and Policy which sets out RFSFA’s risk-based approach and mandatory know your customer (“KYC”) standards, client acceptance standards and guidelines to be used by RFS FA in the fulfilment of their responsibilities of ascertaining and verifying the identity of a client, using such information to create a client risk profile, and dealing with higher risk clients.

RFS FA makes use of IDToday, a KYC software that integrates expert-vetted forms, automated risk screenings, and analytics to streamline client onboarding and ensure compliance. Risk screening is an automated process that provides for real-time updates and alerts against 50+ sanctions lists.
